San Diego Organizing Project is a nonpartisan, multi-faith network of 28 congregations that represents more than 70,000 families across San Diego County. SDOP’s mission is the development of civic leadership through local community organizing work in order to improve communities, create policy, and build constituencies of active participants in the public business of our cities, county, state, and federal governments. SDOP leaders learn to build empowering community organizations in neighborhoods and cities throughout San Diego county. Member of PICO CA and Faith in Action Network.

PICO California was established in 1994, organizes in 73 cities, 35 school districts, and in more than seventy-five percent of the state's Senate and Assembly districts. We are deeply connected with communities through congregations and religions institutions and we work in coalition across racial, economic, ethnic, and religious lines. We are comprised of 19 non-profit organizations made up of 480 interfaith congregations, schools, and neighborhood institutions representing 450,000 families. We bring our local federations together throughout California to affect meaningful budget and policy change at the state level.

Faith in Action (FIA) believes in a society free of economic oppression, racism and discrimination in which every person lives in a safe and healthy environment, is respected and included, and has agency over the decisions that shape their lives. Faith in Action has 45 affiliated federations working in 200 cities, different 21 states, and also organizes internationally.
